Clara and Allen met in February of 2023, just two months after Clara had moved to New York City. It was the first day of community group at church. As Clara walked over to the building, carrying a glass pyrex filled with potatoes for the potluck, she realized that she’d be 20 minutes early - a phenomenon quite rare to the relentless committer of “fashionably late”. As she caught the closing elevator, she noticed another person who had already pressed the number to her floor. This was Allen (who happens to love being 20 minutes early to things).

That same night, the pastor prayed for deep friendships and even future spouses to be found within the group. Neither one of them imagined that this prayer could be applicable to them. When Allen asked Clara out on a date a few weeks later, Clara said no and wanted to be friends.

But 2 months later, they realized they were going to be best of friends to each other, to last a lifetime…
